Wrap the floss tightly in a C shape around the tooth.Ĩ. Use a gentle seesaw motion to pass through the contact area.ħ. Set a fulcrum on the cheek or in the mouth.Ħ. Select the starting area and begin flossing using a pattern to progress throughout the mouth.ĥ. Use the index fingers to direct the floss.Ĥ. Grasp floss firmly with the thumb and index finger of each hand leaving 1/2 inch of floss between the fingertips and insert up into the maxillary arch or down into the mandibular arch. Wrap floss around middle fingers wrap it around the right middle finger 2-3 times and wrap the rest around the left middle finger (or vice versa)ģ. Break off a piece of floss 12-18 inches long.Ģ.
